Common questions
What does "Active" mean for a THORChain node?
Node KH6Y is Active, which means it is in the active validator set: it signs, observes the connected chains and earns bond rewards. Nodes move between standby and the active set at churns, when THORChain rotates its validators and vaults.
What are slash points?
Slash points are penalties THORChain gives a node for failing its duties, for example missing chain observations or a signing round. They count up during a churn and lower the rewards the node earns; a node with many slash points is more likely to be churned out.
What is a bond provider?
A bond provider is an address that adds RUNE to a node's bond and shares its rewards, after the operator's fee. The operator has to add the address to the node first. Node KH6Y has 10 bond providers right now.
How do I bond RUNE to this node?
Ask the operator to add your THORChain address as a bond provider, then bond from Earn with your own keys. THORChain does not allow an unbond while the node is Active or Ready.
Where does this data come from?
Live from THORNode (the node record), Midgard (churns and block height) and RuneBond (the operator name). The IP location comes from ip-api.com. Nothing here needs a wallet.
